BUU SEKH

Training session 1:

On Sunday March 20th, 2022, the BUU SEKH academic staffs and students visited at Sra Si Leam, Phanat Nikom, Chonburi Province, Thailand. To visit Weaving Handcraft Community Enterprise in oder to provide training on the topic of Marketing communication strategy by omni-channels.

Training session 2:

On Sunday March 20th, 2022, the BUU SEKH academic staffs and students visited at Na Wang Hin, Phanat Nikom, Chonburi Province, Thailand. To visit Chemical-free Produce Community Enterprise in order to provide training on the topic of human resources, and cost structures, and revenue streams.

Training session 3:

On Saturday March 26th, 2022 the BUU SEKH academic staffs and students visited at Koh Chan, Chonburi Province, Thailand. To visit Jackfruit Processing Community Enterprise in ordert to provide training on the topic of Marketing strategies and online solutions.

Training session 4:

On Saturday March 26th, 2022 the BUU SEKH academic staffs and students visited at Na Jomtien, Banglamung, Chonburi Province, Thailand. To visit Mushroom Processing Community Enterprise in ordert o provide training on the topic of Marketing strategies and wellness tourism management development.

Training session 5:

On Sunday March 27th, 2022 the BUU SEKH academic staffs and students visited at Khao Sammuk, Muang, Chonburi Province, Thailand. To visit Oyster Shell Khao Sam Mook in ordert to provide training on the topic of Product value added and online marketing.

Training session 6-11:

On Friday in the morning and in the afternoon on May 20th, May 27th, and June 3rd, 2022, the BUU SEKH academic staffs Dr. Salil C., as the leader of Chonburi Provincial Agricultural Innovation Center visited the Agricultural Innovative Center, Bo-Thing, Chonburi Province, Thailand to meet a group of Eastern Community Enterprises for Agriculture Production in ordert to provide training on the topic of Researching on SE problems, brief of business settings, then applying of the Business Model at a glance, and eventually providing of the trainings on Marketing Strategies and Promotion.

Training session 12-13:

On Sunday November 20th, 2022 and Monday November 21st, 2022, the BUU SEKH academic staffs Vorrapob V. brought a group of Thai and Non-Thai students to visit at Mesook Farm Rayong Province, Thailand to learn and brainstorm the idea of business settings and sustainable development in the frame of SDGs for the social change. In details as “What kind of the future business trends to implement at Mesook Farm to cope up with the new era disruption: brainstorming ideas” and “Decision making on financial perspective for social entrepreneurs”. Moreover, the last day welcoming K. Kasidis Suwanampai, CEO and Financial Planner, Siam Wealth Management provided the training on "Principle of Decision Making in terms of Financial Operation for Entrepreneurs".

Training session 14:

On Wednesday December 21th, 2022 and Friday December 23rd, 2022, the BUU SEKH academic staffs Vorrapob V. provided the special lecture at Faculty of Natural Resources, Prince of Songkla University, Songkla, Thailand with the third year students in the topic of being social entrepreneurs by applications of technology and innovation in agricultural industry e.g., Concept of competence-based development for entrepreneurship, and the Case studies of good practice social enterprises.

SE Koh Chan

In Koh Chan sub-district area, the Jackfruit Processing Community Enterprise has been established in 2008 to gather all local jackfruit farmers to join forces for processing seasonal oversupplied jackfruit. They are producing a few products such as fried jackfruits, sweetened jackfruits and jackfruit paste. Though they have passed good agricultural practices (GAP) issued by the authority, their processes are quite ineffective and far from meeting a standard for food production.
Therefore, Miss Vatcharinpon Seladon, a student from the Faculty of Science of Burapha University and Miss Onvara Chansup, an International College student, would like to challenge not only the community solving program on product development but also the integration model of community development by the Business Model Canvas.

SE Sra Si Leam

The Weaving Handicraft Community Enterprise in Sra Si Liam sub-district has been grouped to help each other create high-quality weaving products made from bamboo and coconut. Their enterprise comprises mostly elderly or retired people who have skills and talents for making outstanding weaving products, especially baskets and vases. Notwithstanding, they still have a problem with a succession plan and lack of knowledge in managing their inherit. Miss Supitcha Imnopparat, an International College student of Burapha University, joined the case challenge because the hidden potential needs to be conserved and she would like to be a little part of driving the Thai society forward.

DON KENG Farm

Uthai Aphailun is the owner of a mushrooms farm called DON KENG Farm in Khon Kean city, Thailand, which also operates as a knowledge hub. They participate in the case challenge to gain knowledge on new technology and strategy. Through the case challenge, Uthai Aphailun hopes to improve their technological process of mushroom culture. They work together with the electrical and computer engineering master’s student Tawanrat Praputrungsee of Mahasarakham University who is interested in helping social enterprises improve and who wants to gain knowledge about growing mushrooms.

Rai Por Piang Dee Farm

Rai Por Piang Dee Sugar Cane Organics is represented by Thanupha Saithip, producing organic sugar cane and syrup. They also offer a learning center to help collectively generate a sustainable income for the community by teaching organic sugar cane planting. In the case challenge they want to find solutions to marketing problems. They hope that the new marketing strategy will lead to a stable income to support unemployed people in the area as well as family members. Parinya Lerdprasert is a master’s student in strategies management at Mahasarakham University. In the case challenge, the student and CEO of a tech company wants to help entrepreneurs become more sustainable and successful. The student is excited to create sustainability and avoid future mistakes of social enterprises. The goal is to gain experience and participate in development.

Thai Herb

Mrs. Duangduean Pratitangko represents Thai Herb that is producing 100 % organic herbal products. Through STEPup and the case challenge, the firm wants to become known in Europe. They hope to improve their public relations and ultimately be able to export to foreign countries. They want to overcome obstacles such as transportation or lack of facilities that are currently affecting delivery dates. Through the project, they desire to be able to export their products and equip themselves with a greenhouse or herb dryer. The electrical and computer engineering master’s student Mr. Nattaphol Nasathit of Mahasarakham University wants to help the social enterprise by applying his knowledge of engineering and business planning. He is excited to find solutions to the firm’s real needs.
